The spring meeting took place this weekend in Jefferson MA. The big topic discussed was the resignation of league commissioner Kevin Costner. Kevin has been head of the league since it's inception back in 1988. Kevin invisioned a dream, they told him to build it and he did. Frenchman Stadium was soon built there after. Nestled in a nice neighborhood on Briarcliff lane in Holden. Fans were few and far between, but the product was spot on. One of it's star players and former MVP of the WWL, Gregg Frantz remembers the early years. " It was the best time in my life, and I will always think of Kevin as a multple personality!"
The 32 owners in the league voted in Willie Mayes Hayes as the next W.W.L commish on the 7th hole of Holden Hills C.C. The season will began on the sunday of Memorial day weekend. Spring training will occur a week before. Although the league won't play every weekend, it is excited about recent signing of players such as former allstar Aaron Glazebrook and Jeff Crason, professional hitter.
